Harry Potter's father, James was happily married to Lily before they were murdered by Lord Voldemort, leaving their only son orphaned.
As a student at Hogwarts, James often got into trouble along with his best friends Peter Pettigrew, Remus Lupin and Sirius Black. Known as The Marauders, the Gryffindor students left their mark in the school and on their fellow students. One in particular was a young Severus Snape, who never forgot the humiliation doled out by a boisterous James Potter.
