A Cullman County school got the surprise of a lifetime this week, as the cast of The Crimes of Grindelwald came to say hello to the students and staff.
We all remember our school days and the painstaking efforts we put into making decorations – just think of all those paper chains and the bunting of times gone by.
The teachers of Parkside School (Grades K-8) went the extra mile recently, to transform their school into a Hogwarts-themed environment, complete with potions, spellbooks and beyond, all inspired by the Wizarding World, of course.
The moment was particularly poignant as Parkside Elementary works on a small budget, with 78% of its students receiving free or reduced lunches. To give the students a treat, the teachers rallied together, fundraising, thrift store shopping and using their own funds, to give their school a magic touch.
As a fantastic recognition of their dedication, some of the main cast of the second instalment of the Fantastic Beasts movies, Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Zoë Kravitz, Ezra Miller and Callum Turner, came down to the school to surprise its hard-working and dedicated teachers on their ‘Wizarding World Day’. In fact, the whole community came out for this amazing celebration. Check out the reaction here.
Please excuse us, we have something in our eye.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is out 16 November.
