If you’re LA-based, or fancy a little visit there, this exciting event might be right up your alley. On 11 April and 12 April, Universal Studios Hollywood are inviting fans to pick up tickets for a first-look at the rather amazing projection experience; a chance to see the great Hogwarts castle given a whole new makeover. And it’s a rather dark one.

The premiere will be the first time that visitors will get to see Hogwarts immersed in this latest special effects extravaganza, featuring some of the scarier moments from the Harry Potter films. Using state-of-the-art projection mapping, fans will see Hogwarts obscured in iconic Dark Arts imagery, from Dementors to Lord Voldemort, all set to John Williams’ iconic score.

A new wand will debut at the preview event and will serve as limited edition memorabilia for your collection. What on earth could it be? We’ve already got the Elder Wand on our mantelpieces at home... Oh, and Butterbeer will be on tap of course.

Following the premiere event, the show will continue to preview on select night all over the summer months, so there will be plenty of opportunities to get spooked with this eerie new experience.
