The Pop-Up Guide to Hogwarts features spectacular re-creations inside and outside of Hogwarts castle.
'There are few things better than a pop-up book.’ If this isn’t an aphorism already, it should be, and what better example of why than the new Harry Potter: A Pop-Up Guide to Hogwarts, which is available for pre-order now.
The 3D spectacular has been designed by best-selling author and paper engineer Matthew Reinhart and illustrated by Kevin M. Wilson. Matthew explains more in this introductory video:
If you can't visit the real thing, you might as well own a pop-up version. Introducing 'Harry Potter: A Pop-Up Guide to Hogwarts', designed by best-selling author and paper engineer Matthew Reinhart. pic.twitter.com/noE8gB2tgI— Pottermore (@pottermore) September 28, 2018
Among other cool features, the book comes complete with ‘peekaboo’ windows concealing some of our favourite characters.
As well as recreating the feeling of being a student on their first day at Hogwarts through the large pops of the castle itself, it also includes key locations in the grounds such as the Quidditch pitch and Forbidden Forest. Alongside these are a series of ‘mini-pops’ which bring to life key magical objects from the Harry Potter films, including the Marauder’s Map and Flying Ford Anglia. Each pop contains insights about Hogwarts as seen in the films, making it a must-have for collectors and fans of the Wizarding World.
Harry Potter: A Pop-Up Guide to Hogwarts is available to pre-order now and available widely from October 23, 2018.
