The ‘Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle’ light projection experience is coming soon to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort. The new illuminated display will see the iconic Hogwarts castle bathed in light, music and special effects – celebrating the dark side of the wizarding world.

Yes, that means Lord Voldemort, Death Eaters and most certainly some Dementors.

The ‘Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle’ will preview at Universal Studios Hollywood from 13 April to 28 then 25 May to 27, and will run later this year at Universal Orlando Resort.

During this time, guests will be asked to summon their inner strength to face the all-consuming Dark Arts. As you know, many wizards and witches have succumbed to them. What this quite means, we’ll have to wait and see.

The new display will be accompanied by a musical arrangement conducted by William Ross and recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra – based on John Williams’ iconic, original film scores.
