Watch our interview with Bonnie Wright and find out why she loved playing Ginny and which Hogwarts house Bonnie belongs to.
Bonnie Wright played Ginny Weasley in all eight Harry Potter films – throughout her entire childhood. That’s a pretty long time. A trip down memory lane was definitely needed, so we sat down with Bonnie and did just that.
‘My favourite idea I always had [about] Ginny, that David Yates and I always played on, was that Ginny was this warrior,’ Bonnie told us. ‘That was something I really enjoyed. I was such a tomboy as a girl growing up and I loved that idea you don’t have to be girlie to be a girl.’
Bonnie clearly feels an affinity with Ginny, but how would she fair when she found out her own Hogwarts house? ‘As a strong, devout Weasley, it could only be Gryffindor’, she told us, without a shadow of a doubt.
