Warner Bros. Studio Tour London begin a year of celebrations around the fifteenth anniversary of Harry Potter’s cinematic debut.
Hard to believe, but it’s been nearly 15 years since the release of the first Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and to celebrate, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London has loads of new features planned.
First up is ‘Welcome to Hogwarts’, starting today at the Studio Tour in Leavesden, which will take visitors right back to Harry’s first moments as a Hogwarts student. Stepping into the Great Hall set, visitors will see floating candles suspended from the ceiling, and the original Sorting Hat and stool on display.
A Quidditch ball crate is rigged to surprise guests with its raucous shaking and you’ll be able to see Harry’s broken glasses in the viewing carriage of the Hogwarts Express (yes, Harry Potter’s actual broken glasses).
Take a stroll down Diagon Alley and the door of Ollivanders’ wand shop will be open for you to sneak a peek at his costume inside.
There’s loads to discover besides and the celebrations continue all year. It’s safe to say we are a little bit excited at the prospect of nosing into the Dursleys’ living room, when the set of number four, Privet Drive is opened in May.
